CM 2016 antenna features a light weight design optimized to receive HDTV signals. You can receive crystal clear, native, uncompressed HDTV signals up to 35 miles away from the broadcast tower. The Channel Master 2016 is a compact outdoor TV antenna that is engineered to receive high quality digital/HDTV broadcast over channels 7 to 51. Since most broadcasts after the February 2009 analog shutoff will be made on channels 7 to 51, stations that the 2016 is perfectly suited. Oversized antennas will be needed for low band channels from 2 through 6.

Please keep in mind that surrounding terrain, distance from the transmitters and specific channel reception characteristics may affect your television picture quality. Indoor vs. Outdoor Antenna, Pre-amp, Amp, Transmission Line Length, Total Number of Sets and Types of Equipment are all Considerations beyond simply hooking up an antenna. HDTV may also require Upgrades in Other Components in Your System. Many DTV/HDTV Stations will be found in the UHF Band. After the Transition, Others may return to High VHF (7-13) if they were Originally Licensed in this Frequency Range. Reception characteristics will vary Town to Town, City to City. There is no "Silver Bullet" Antenna, and Bigger is NOT always Better. True, if you are located out of Town or need to Receive UHF Channels, You may need A Large Antenna as long as all the Transmitters are within the Narrower Beamwidth. However, if you are 5 miles from your city and the transmitters are spread out, you may find that a smaller, more wider looking antenna is necessary.
