Pico Macom BFA BNC Male to F Female Transition Connector This is made with an anti-corrosive finish, Commercial Grade and Quality. The BNC connector is used for RF signal connections, for analog and Serial Digital Interface video signals, amateur radio antenna connections, aviation electronics (avionics) and many other types of electronic test equipment. This BNC is spec'd at 50 ohms, but most RF engineers accept that the impedance is forced by the load, so itxcwill work on 75 ohm applications. The F connector is a type of coaxial RF connector commonly used for "over the air" terrestrial television, cable television and universally for satellite television and cable modems, usually with RG-6/U cable or, in older installations, with RG-59/U cable, but is also used for transport of IF (Intermediate Frequencies) between pieces of equipment. The F connector is a type of coaxial RF connector commonly used for "over the air" terrestrial television, cable television and universally for satellite television and cable modems, usually with RG-6/U cable or, in older installations, with RG-59/U cable.

An adapter (or adaptor) is a device used to match the physical or electrical characteristics of two different ;Connectors so that a connection may be made between them and the Equipment You desire to Cross-Connect. Most Connections for Video and RF (Radio Frequency) Equipment is 75 Ohm in Characteristic Impedance. Radio and Microwave Frequency Connections Passing High Power Require 50 Ohms. A Majority of the Adapters offered Here are 75 Ohm. However, with the High Quality Dialectric Found Surrounding the Interior of the Mating Connection, Low Power Usage, and Transition Impedance Matching of Like Characteristic Impedances, Resulting Mis-match of 50 Ohm use woiuld be so Low as to be Considered Negligible.
