Radian was formed in February, 2001, and is the result of a partnership between three strong elements – LeBLANC Ltd., BMS Communications Services, and Onex Corporation.
In the early years, the focus was on the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of towers for the telecommunication and broadcast industries. In the 1980's there was great demand for highly trained technical experts in microwave transmission and power systems. Radian filled this void in support of its customers' changing needs. With the explosion in wireless telecommunications, Radian developed key areas of expertise and participated in the massive build-outs of the wireless carriers. Deregulation in the wireline telecommunications industry spurred Radian to develop competitive options for the voice, data, and video markets.
Radian now employs over 700 people and has over 20 office locations throughout North America. Their focus on serving wireless carriers, broadcasters, and wireline carriers has expanded to include the OEM's and multiple site operators. Their customers include small to large enterprises, government and public institutions and facilities, telecom carriers and service providers.
Their tenure in the telecommunications and broadcast industries has made Radian one of the industry leaders in North America. Their scale, speed, and scope of services position us well to add value in a convergent future.
