Please read this description above.
The 1st image is that of a stock SBH25G base section.
The pivot bolt hole is in the straight rail portion and not on the swaged section that will need to be trimmed away.
You need to duplicate this by removing a majority of the swaged end, lining up the hinge pieces and drilling parallel holes into the remaining straight segment with enough clearance to pivot above the zig-zag lattice bracing and achieve about a 3/16” gap for alignment and structural support of holes being drilled.
There are more notes in the images attached.
You will be cutting and drilling to mimic the stock photo.
Mock-up a swaged hinge section to the tower section to be cut and drilled. Mark where you will want the New Drilled holes to be but not too close to the original swage taper and not too close to the zig-zag lattice.
You should get at about a ½ inch or more clearance between lattice and the bottom of the hinge sections you will be mounting Mark where you will trim the swage segments off the bottom tower section that leaves about a 3/16” gap (less than ¼”) between the remaining portion and bottom of new swage post once bolted it as shown in stock photo.
Bolt in the New Swaged Hinges into the top tower section as you had them inserted before, After trimming portions of the old swaged segments, mock them up against the bottom section while both are on the floor as you had them to see if the bolt holes you marked still line up with the sections in alignment. Adjust accordingly as you want the tower to remain plumb when vertical again with the bolts all still parallel.
You should be able to see your way through in making judgement calls from there as it is first and foremost your call and responsibility.
ROHN will Not tell you how to this as it voids all warrantees and is done in your judgment only!
