Low Insertion Loss and High isolation design allows Off-air Broadcast TV and Satellite TV signals to be fed on a single coaxial drop cable. Mini Die cast housing with Zinc plating With Epoxy sealed cover for good weather protection.
Due to Cable TV return signals being located from 5 to 42 MHz. it will not allow 2-way services like Pay-Per-View, Broadband Internet Modems or VoIP services to function
This particular Diplexer passes Satellite signal from 950 up to 2050 MHz. The Pass-Band for the Antenna or Cable TV is from 40 to 806 MHz, which is great for HD TV Antenna signals, and Cable TV Systems that have channels up to 750 MHz (Check with your Cable TV System Operator!). Remember that depending on the example scenario you are following from the DISH Network, DirecTV or other DBS Satellite system, you may need more than one, or several of these devices!
In-Line Attenuators that can Drop Signal Down to Acceptable Levels and Force Impedance match. Some are Power Passing. Most Attenuators Now-a-Days are made of Integrated Circuit Equivalents of Resistors and Capacitors that made up the RC Networks of Yesterdays Pads. Because of this Fact, You will Find that the Actual Loss may vary across the Bandwidth for different reasons and values as compared to Yester-Years Models. I have always found it best to add Attenuation in Increments until reaching the appropriate amount, and then substituting for the Total Value with ONE Pad of equal value. Multiple Attenuators in Series may have Un-predictable and Un-controllable Affects upon each other in Reactance, and are Prone to RF Leakage as Stress upon the Connectors may Compromise the Shield Integrity.
