This way, Lightning Strikes and Power Surges have an opportunity to arrest before reaching your TV and Entertainment Electronics. The grounding Block will convey this unwanted Electrical Energy to a Ground Rod via a Copper Ground Wire that you Install (not included). Grounding & Bonding Are Important

Ground Blocks and Proper Grounding are an Important, often overlooked, aspect of Your Over-all Cable TV, HDTV or Satellite Antenna Installation and Safety. Proper Grounding can also Reduce the Reception of Interfering RF Signals. Grounding of Masts, Antennas, Cable TV and other RF Distribution Systems are covered by the NEC. Grounding can be as simple as a 12 AWG Ground Wire connected a short distance away to a 8 foot 5/8" DIA Copper Ground Rod (not supplied) or Bonded to the Existing Power Ground by the Power Meter installed on the side of your Home or Office. You may notice that most new Cable TV, Satellite and TV Antenna Installations are effected in this Manner.
