LMR-240 is a flexible coaxial cable providing excellent performance when used for jumper assemblies in wireless communications systems such as short antenna feeder runs in WISP, WLL, GPS, LMR, and mobile antennas. LMR-240 is the same size as RG-8X, yet typically enjoys better specifications when compared to other RG-8X coaxial cable through inclusion of bonded aluminum tape and gas filled dialectric in its manufacture. The jackets are UV protected black polyethylene, making the cable rugged and resistant to outdoor environments. The bonded aluminum tape outer conductor is overlapped to provide 100% coverage, supported by a 90 percent braided shield, providing around >90 dB RF shielding (>180 dB crosstalk) and superior interference immunity against ingress and egress. It is stiffer than the LMR-240 UltraFlex, due to its solid center conductor, but is less than 0.25 inch in diameter.
