The FRM-125 is a non‑penetrating flat‑roof antenna mount with a 1.25 in. outer‑diameter mast and a 60 in. (5 ft) mast length, designed to be ballasted with standard cinderblocks so you can mount antennas without drilling into the roof.
Overview
The FRM‑125 is a Pre- galvannealed steel, non‑penetrating roof mount intended for off‑air TV, wireless, cellular, satellite internet, CCTV and other exterior antennas. It provides a stable, temporary or semi‑permanent mounting solution that avoids roof membrane penetrations.
Key specifications
• Mast outer diameter: 1.25 in. OD.
• Mast length: 60 in. (5 ft).
• Construction: Pre-Galvannealed steel
• Ballast method: Uses standard 8 x 8 x 16 in. cinderblocks (not usually included) to secure the base.
What’s included and what you’ll need
Typical packages include the base mount assembly, the 60 in. mast, and mounting hardware for attaching the mast to the base. Cinderblocks for ballast are normally not included and must be supplied on site; some vendors show recommended layouts using up to eight blocks for maximum stability.
Installation notes and best practices
• Non‑penetrating design means no roof membrane holes, reducing leak risk; still follow manufacturer guidance for placement and ballast distribution to prevent tipping or sliding.
• Use appropriate ballast: standard 8 x 8 x 16 in. concrete blocks are commonly recommended; number and placement depend on antenna wind load and local codes.
• Check local wind load and building codes before installation; heavier or higher wind‑rated antennas may require a different mounting approach or additional ballast.
Compatibility and use cases
The 1.25 in. OD mast accepts many small to medium antennas, such as TV antennas, Wi‑Fi repeaters, cellular gateways, small satellite dishes, and surveillance antennas. It’s a good choice when you need a roof‑mounted solution but cannot or prefer not to penetrate the roof surface.
These mounts can be used where penetrating its attachment is not an option. Non penetrating mounts use ballast weight like your usual cement cinder block as a method to hold down your masting structure. They can help meet the variety of communication tower needs such as Cellular, PCS, Wireless Cable, Microwave, Wireless Internet, WiFi Hot Spots, DBS, MDS, MMDS and UHF/VHF reception.
Designed and engineered to handle the job of getting above ground interference, each non-penetrating roof mount has been researched and developed to serve a specific purpose.
With professionally engineered construction, you can be assured you're getting a virtually maintenance-free product built to the highest standards. And because our non-penetrating roof mounts are hot-dip galvanized after fabrication, our mounts won't rust.
