This is the same Commercial Grade your local Cable TV company uses to wire the interior of your Home or Office Building. Our Customers use this in the Interior of their Homes for HDTV and Hi Speed Internet Systems. It Features CCS Center Conductor, Dialectric Foam, Bonded Laminated Aluminum Tape inner Shield, 77% Braid Shield Middle Layer, Outer 3rd Layer of Laminated Aluminum Tape, all encased in an Outer PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) Jacket. ...
Tri-Shield - Based on a Tri-Shield standard cable construction of fully bonded foil alternated with a layer of shielding braid, Tri-Shield adds an additional surrounding layer of foil to improve transmission reliability by means of an additional interference barrier. The industry standard workhorse, it provides ample conductance for most drop applications up to 150 feet in length.

RG6 Home or Office Interior/Exterior Coaxial Cable

RG6 (RG-6) with 60% Braided Shield coverage is the most commonly used form of this Utility Cable. The Variants within this sub-category usually are denoted by differences in Center Conductor and Shield Material Composition. Starting first with the Shield, Aluminum Braid will be used in concert with a Aluminum Foil Layer bonded to the Dielectric surrounding the Center Conductor. This the most common variant within the variety and is appropriate for most uses. The limiting factor in its use will be the density and strength of interfering carriers found ambient in the environment of use. 60% Braid coverage is not recommended for lengthy networks or distribution systems in Hotels, Motels and Apartment Complexes as these environments are open to reception of frequencies being re-used over the air, coupled with the antenna radiation-like properties of large distribution networks with poor Grounding. Copper Shielding with the same 60% Braid Coverage does perform better in these environments due in part to its lower DC Loop Resistance. Whereas Aluminum Braided Shield usually goes hand in hand with Copper Clad Steel Center Conductors, likewise goes Copper Braided Shield with Solid Copper Center Conductors. Copper Clad Steel will suffice in almost any utilization scenario, however most Satellite TV Operating companies will require Solid Copper Center Conductor to be used by their respective Sub-Contractor Installers for Maintenance and Warranty issues. This is due to the DC Voltage component being fed from the Receiver back to, and Powering the LNB(f)s mounted on the Satellite Dish. Unless the run is extremely long and the connectors applied are of dubious Quality, the DC Loop Resistance difference between Solid Bare Copper and Copper Clad Steel is negligible in short distances.

Tri-Shield RG6 will have 77% Braided Aluminum Shield Coverage Between 2 Layers of Aluminum Foil Shield, the 1st Foil Layer being Bonded to the Foam Dielectric. This an economical advantage to Quad Shield. Tri-Shield of the same material composition when compared Quad Shield will register the same signal Loss, with nearly the same Interference rejection qualities, at a minimum of cost increase as compared to regular 60% Braided Shield Coaxial Cable of the same material composition. The difference in flexibility as compared to Quad Shield is the mitigating factor for most installers as the chases and Wall-Plate spaces provided do not afford the luxury of the greater minimum bending radius needed when installing Quad Shield Cables.

With Flexible Braided Shield Cables, Quad Shield offers the Maximum amount of Shielding Integrity in comparison to Single, Dual or Triple Shields. Quad Shield RG6 would denote alternating Aluminum Foil and Aluminum Braided Shield Layers, starting with the Bonded Foil Layer around the Foam Dielectric (which encases and supports the Center Conductor), with the better Quad Shield having 2 Layers of Braided Aluminum Shield, one of 60% and the 2nd at 40%. The Physicality of the Density of the Braid and Foil is truly a formidable Barrier to Ingress and Egress of Signals, but is only half of the equation. To sink ambient signals that are attracted to the shield, a connection to a good Ground is a must, long Drops should have such a connection at both ends.

When 95% braid coverage is noted, usually the purpose of the cable can be inferred as CCTV Camera Video Cable. CCTV Camera Video Cable is usually RG59. That this is RG6 with 95% Braid Coverage, and further, comprised of Solid Bare Copper in the composition of the Center Conductor, makes it rarer still. This cable will perform in both CCTV Camera Video and Satellite TV worlds with the Best Traits of both.
