3 Star GRC-3/4 3/4 inch Bronzed Ground Rod Clamp

Cast of high-strength corrosion-resistant Bronze. UL listed for direct burial. Furnished with hex head bolts. Simplified, compact design makes lasting, trouble-free connection to Wire Range #10 Solid through #2 Stranded. Suitable for burial after attachment (see our self amalgamating tape sealant). Use for REV. G Grounding of Tower Base and Down Guys onto 5/8 inch Ground Rods using the 7/16 wire rope ground specified. Select Ground Rod length by application (see details).

REV. F Tower Grounding kits are based on 8 foot ground rod use, REV. G Tower Grounding Kits use 10 foot ground rods (that can only be shipped LTL Freight). REV. F Tower Grounding Kits use #4 Solid or Stranded Copper (use a regular 5/8 inch ground rod clamp), whereas REV. G Tower Grounding Kits rely on 7/16 inch Galvanized Steel Wire Rope (select the 3/4 inch ground rod clamp we sell here).

3 Star stocks guy wire for use in guying antenna masts and ROHN 25G, 45G, 55G and 65G towers. Choose from 6/18 and 6/20 for telescopic antenna masts and 1/4 inch to 5/16 inch EHS strand for guying down ROHN Towers. Our 6/18 and 6/20 guy wire comes in lengths of 50' , 100' , 250 ,500, to 1000' FT and our EHS Tower Guy wire comes in 100' , 250' , 500' ,1000, in coils / reels and 5000' FT wooden spools. ANCHORS

Guy Anchors are used to attach the guy-wire that helps support a tower, antenna mast or even utility poles. The anchoring is accomplished by using rods, usually made from galvanized steel, that are screw driven, concreted into the ground or backfilled with earth.

An anchor must be designed and rated to resist the maximum amount of tensile load, forces tending to cause extension of the guy wires and anchoring system; both the dead load of the tension of the wire and the maximum possible theroretical live load due to wind, gravity, ice and other forces of nature. The attached guy wires exercises its force at an angle, and because of this angle the anchor will have r two forces of both, vertical or (up and down) and lateral (back and forth) forces on it known as lateral shear. Ground anchors rely on the lateral shear strength of the soil. This strength or cohesion helps to mitigate by spreading the the forces from the guys wires connected to it over a large surface area.
