You could also use this as a base plate for 2 inch or 1 and 1/4 inch O.D. Masts. This Plate can be cemented into the concrete Pad via the Pin provided. The word "Ground" as used in the description can be a bit of a misnomer; it does not provide a "Earth Ground" in and of itself, but rather is a junction component that rests on the ground or pad and should be Bonded to with a proper Earth Ground composed of a 5/8 inch by 8 foot Copper Clad Ground Rod as a minimum. Consult your Local Building Code and NEC for guidance to Properly Grounding your HD TV, WI-FI, Wireless Internet, Business Band, CB or Amateur Radio Antenna Installation.
Pre-Galvanized & Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Pipe ,offers to meet a variety of communication tower needs such as Cellular, PCS, Wireless Cable, Microwave, Wireless Internet, WiFi Hot Spots, DBS, MDS, MMDS and UHF/VHF reception. Galvanization provides a protective zinc coating that prevents rust and corrosion from water or moisture over time.
Selecting the proper antenna mast pipe is crucial. Depending on the size of your antenna, it's EPA, weight and height all play a factor in selecting a supportive pole. When planning, it's best to have all the information you can get like outside diameter of your attaching method, the clearance of gutters, siding or other obstacles in the path of your erecting a mast or tower.
When selecting a pipe you will need to know the length, OD (outside diameter), whether the AWG is 16 or 18 (the smaller the number the thicker the steel) and whether you'll need any swaged ended pieces. You'll then need to select the proper mounting such as wall, roof or maybe a tripod mount
Here you will find standard straight pipe in 5' foot and 10' foot lengths. You can also find those same pipes with a special end called a swage. A swaged ended pipe allows you to attach several lengths of pipe together.
ROHN Swaged Masts are Designed for stacking with a Notch and Swage Feature that prevents twisting of one mast section to the other without a set screw.(as shown below)
