This 5 section Telescopic Antenna Mast (16 gauge inner mast tube, 18 gauge outers) is Manufactured with 5 ft. long Nested Mast Tubes instead of the usual 10 ft. Tubes for a Reduced-size of 61 inches in total collapsed length to qualify for Package Rate Shipping instead of the More expensive LTL Truck Freight reserved for the Full-sized 10 ft. collapsed Versions. As such, the total Extended Mast Height is 20'-10" and can be is used for Mounting Antennas for Off-Air TV, Cellular Gateway, MMDS and Wireless Internet.(though not recommended for Amateur Radio).
Manufacturers recommend that mast heights of 10 feet and higher above the uppermost bracket be guyed for Addition Wind Load Support. Antenna load (top load) should not exceed an effective projected area (EPA) of 2 square feet (see your antenna specifications). Bonding/Grounding should be made by affixment to Mast. Consult NEC and Applicable Local Code for further guidance.
