The ROHN VY1949A Lightning Rod Clamp-on Mounting Kit is designed to attach a 5/8" Diameter LRCL Lightning Rod (available separately) onto ANY Round ROHN Tower Leg, Antenna Mast Pole or Antenna Pipe Mount having a 1.25" to 2.50" OD and consists of a Hot Dip Galvanized Angle Iron Mount that comes with (2) U-bolts and Nuts. For installation onto ROHN 25G, 45G, 45GSR, 55G, and 65G Towers. Verify the OD of the Leg, Pole or Pipe you wish to attach to, then select the U-bolt Clamp Inside Diameter size accordingly.

3 Star stocks guy wire for use in guying antenna masts and ROHN 25G, 45G, 55G and 65G towers. Choose from 6/18 and 6/20 for telescopic antenna masts and 1/4 inch to 5/16 inch EHS strand for guying down ROHN Towers. Our 6/18 and 6/20 guy wire comes in lengths of 50' , 100' , 250 ,500, to 1000' FT and our EHS Tower Guy wire comes in 100' , 250' , 500' ,1000, in coils / reels and 5000' FT wooden spools. ANCHORS

Guy Anchors are used to attach the guy-wire that helps support a tower, antenna mast or even utility poles. The anchoring is accomplished by using rods, usually made from galvanized steel, that are screw driven, concreted into the ground or backfilled with earth.

An anchor must be designed and rated to resist the maximum amount of tensile load, forces tending to cause extension of the guy wires and anchoring system; both the dead load of the tension of the wire and the maximum possible theroretical live load due to wind, gravity, ice and other forces of nature. The attached guy wires exercises its force at an angle, and because of this angle the anchor will have r two forces of both, vertical or (up and down) and lateral (back and forth) forces on it known as lateral shear. Ground anchors rely on the lateral shear strength of the soil. This strength or cohesion helps to mitigate by spreading the the forces from the guys wires connected to it over a large surface area.
