3 Star
This DBS DSS Satellite Dish Antenna Mast Pole is a Sturdy One Piece that Fits a Variety of Mounts for Flexibility In Off-Air HDTV and Satellite Antenna Mounting and Height Clearance. Ideal as a DISH500 and DIRECTV Dish Antenna Mast (will NOT work for DIRECTVs SL3/5) for Ground or Wall mount Installation. There's a Big difference between 18 AWG and 16 AWG when it comes to joining Swaged to Straight Antenna Masts. You cannot mix and match 16 and 18 gauge masts so please, verify the mast you have before purchasing a complimenting swaged section. Be Sure and afford yourself 2 feet minimum, up to 1/3 of the overall mast length between the two wall mounts you would utilize in your TV antenna Installation. The Torque applied from wind load through cantilever to these mounts can be significant.
Manufacturers recommend that mast heights of 10 feet and higher be guyed.
(Mount Not Included)
This Mast can be utilized for HDTV Off-Air Antenna installation as well, providing the clamp on the antenna can accommodate a 1.66 inch DIA 18 AWG mast pipe. DISH500 and DIRECTV Antennas can be mounted on the ground with the proper poured concrete foundation. When installing on the side of a premise or structure (ie House), be sure and afford yourself 2 feet minimum, up to 1/3 of the overall mast length between the two wall mounts you will utilize. Depending on the size of the Satellite Dish or Antenna, the Torque applied from wind load through cantilever to these mounts can be significant.
The ROHN SSV HD tower has the same features and utility as the SSV tower, but with Heavy Duty legs and braces. The heavy duty tower allows for the structure to support more loading and higher wind and ice loading. This tower serves the same applications as the SSV including: PCS, broadband, security, sports lighting and many others. The SSV HD also has standard “pre-engineered” towers created from standard sections. All ROHN SSV towers are hot-dip galvanized, inside and out for corrosion protection.

| General Notes: 1. Standard tower designs are in accordance with approved national standard ANSI/TIA-222-G, Structure Class II, Topographic Category 1, 3/4” design ice thickness, seismic coeffilient SS < 1.0. 2. Tower designs assume allowable projected areas are symmetrically placed on the tower. 3. Designs assume one 7/8 line to top and two 7/8 lines to 30 feet below top, one line on each face. 4. All towers are provided with step bolts and a tapered top. 5. Grounding kit must be ordered seperately. 6. Assembly drawings and standard foundation details are supplied with the tower. 7. Custom designs for site-specific applications are available upon request |
