This 5 Foot (60") by 1.25" OD 16 AWG swaged end Antenna Mast tube is galvanized for weather and used to extend any 1-1/4 inch 16 gauge antenna masts by fitting the swaged end of this mast into the open end of the another mast tube of the same diameter and gauge, thereby extending the existing mast an additional 5 feet. Fits a Variety of Mounts for Flexibility In Antenna Mounting and Height Clearance. There's a Big difference between 18 AWG and 16 AWG when it comes to joining Swaged to Straight Antenna Masts. You cannot mix and match 16 and 18 gauge masts so please, verify the mast you have before purchasing a complimenting swaged section. Be Sure and afford yourself 2 feet minimum, up to 1/3 of the overall mast length between the two wall mounts you would utilize in your TV antenna Installation. The Torque applied from wind load through cantilever to these mounts can be significant.
Manufacturers recommend that mast heights of 10 feet and higher be guyed.
(Mount Not Included)
There's a Big difference between 18 AWG and 16 AWG when it comes to Antenna Masts. This 16 AWG Mast is thicker, hardier, stronger and weighs more with heavier Pre-Galvanization. The swaged end fits tightly into another mast when it's 16 AWG like this one (I can't pull them apart, bolt them together for a permanent joint). When considering the longevity of your HDTV Off-Air TV Antenna, there's no substitute for the strength of this mast in effectively transfering the Wind Load from the Antenna to the Mount in preventing the mast from Folding over. The 18 AWG painted masts just don't hold up. Be Sure and afford yourself 2 feet minimum, up to 1/3 of the overall mast length between the two wall mounts you would utilize in your TV antenna Installation. The Torque applied from wind load through cantilever to these mounts can be significant. This is one reason we no longer offer the 18 AWG masts such as the Channel Master CM-1805 or Cm-1810.
The ROHN SSV tower has been in service for over 50 years. The design utilizes standard parts arranged to create a unique structure. The legs are tubular with angle braces at the bottom and solid legs and braces in the top sections. This tower is used in a variety of applications, from PCS structures and broadband to security, sports lighting and more. The SSV has proven to be one of the industry’s most efficient and preferred structures. All ROHN SSV towers are hot-dip galvanized, inside and out for corrosion protection.

| General Notes: 1. Standard tower designs are in accordance with approved national standard ANSI/TIA-222-G, Structure Class II, Topographic Catergory 1, 3/4” design ice thickness, seismic coeffilient SS < 1.0. 2. Tower designs assume allowable projected areas are symmetrically placed on the tower. 3. Designs assume one 7/8 line to top and two 7/8 lines to 30 feet below top, one line on each face. 4. All towers are provided with step bolts and a tapered top. 5. Grounding kit must be ordered separately. 6. Assembly drawings and standard foundation details are supplied with the tower. 7. Custom designs for site-specific applications are available upon request |
