VMP FRM-166 Non-Pen Satellite Dish Roof Mount with 1.66" OD x 30" Mast
The VMP FRM-166 Non-Penetrating Satellite Dish Roof Mount with 1.66" OD x 30" Mast is constructed of Powder Coated steel and uses standard concrete blocks for Ballast on Flat Roof. Mast is 30 inches in Outside Diameter and 30 inches in Height from Base. For use with DBS, antenna and satellite internet systems. Can be Used as a Penetrating Mount without Ballast. Compares to Other Name Brand Hardware at Half the Price.

This Non-Penetrating Mount Series from VMP is finished with a dark brown weather resistant powder coat inside and out that blends well with residential environments. The Standard is a 1.66 or 1-5/8 inches Diameter Pipe size in most Universal Mounts for Satellite Dishes. Whether Aftermarket or Service Provider supplied, this mount can accommodate even large Dishes for DirecTV (1 and 3 LNB only, the World Direct International uses 1.75" DIA Mast and the Ka/Ku HD Band uses 2" DIA Mast), Dish Network 500+/1000+, Dish 500 Plus, Dish 1000 Plus, DishPLUS, Dish Network TurboHD 1000.4, Dish 1000.2, Dish Network 1000.4, DishPro, 105 SuperDISH, 121 SuperDISH, EchoStar Technologies Corporation, most FTA Free to Air and DBS Direct Broadcast Satellite Dishes that use the same Diameter Mounting Tube for mounting Dishes up to 39 inches. In addition, it can be used in mounting some smaller PCS, Cellular, Broadband Wireless, Wireless Internet and Two Way Antennas. I have enjoyed Installing this product line for Dish applications from Business and Internet on the tops of tall buildings to HD TV and zillions of channels for in-home use. And as with all items in this Product Line, Screws and Pitch Pads are included for Bolt-down versus Ballast applications. The Length of the mast is 30 inches based on engineering that incorporates consideration for typical Satellite Antenna Wind-load versus the Ballast that would keep either on target with minimal deviation and flex. As with all Ballast mounts, Structural Engineering consultations are recommended for all Roof Applications.

Note

Height and Antenna Loading capability are dependent upon ballast weight to counter the tip-over moment of the Windspeed rating desired. In addition to the Windspeed Loading Data found under the "Specification" tab (if Available), You need to Consult an Engineer to determine the Building Code Requirements and Load Bearing Capacity of the roof structure where you will be installing this mount. It is Important to choose a Mount and Mounting Location with a Picture of the Finished Installation in Mind. Be Sure to First select a location that lends itself to applying a Load without Compromising the Integrity of the Material you place the mount on top of; i.e. roof membrane, covering, decorative cover, etc., or the Structural Members beneath. Next consider the Location over a Lifetime of Adjustments, does it lend itself to modifications in Height or Direction? Larger Antennas increase the surface area presented to air movement and thus, Wind-load does increase. As the height of the mast increases from Its last attached point on the structure, the torque applied in cantilever towards the tip-over moment also increases with Antenna off-center Weight and Wind-Load EPA (Effective Projected Area), requiring a more substantive Downward Force and/or Load Dissipation; i.e. supplemental Down-guys may be required as to keep ballast weight within Load-bearing capacity. Keep the Distance Minimal from the Antenna to the Equipment you feed, as to minimize loss and the need for Amplification.
A Retention Tether SCK150 (Safety Cable Kit) is required for Commercial Installations to mitigate Loss and Damage to Property, Further, the FRM-PAD or FRM-MAT is recommended for all installations to prevent slippage, distribute weight more evenly and prevent damage to the roof surface

Flat Roof Non-Penetrating Mounts

These mounts can be used where penetrating its attachment is not an option. Non penetrating mounts use ballast weight like your usual cement cinder block as a method to hold down your masting structure. They can help meet the variety of communication tower needs such as Cellular, PCS, Wireless Cable, Microwave, Wireless Internet, WiFi Hot Spots, DBS, MDS, MMDS and UHF/VHF reception.

Designed and engineered to handle the job of getting above ground interference, each non-penetrating roof mount has been researched and developed to serve a specific purpose.

With professionally engineered construction, you can be assured you're getting a virtually maintenance-free product built to the highest standards. And because our non-penetrating roof mounts are hot-dip galvanized after fabrication, our mounts won't rust.
