The 17A01 is a Ceramic Strain Insulator for 3/16" inch strand. It has 5/16" holes for Clevis and Preformed Dead-end Termination Down Guy Segments with a 2-5/16" length and a diameter of 1-3/8". Guy Line Insulators are used to isolate RF (Radio Frequency) Electrical Conductivity and Passive Re-Transmission or Intermodulation by dividing guy wires into non-resonant sections. This prevents the guy lines from altering an Antenna's Radiation Pattern due to near-field interaction and for Ghosting Resonate Towers to Prevent Shadow Zones of other Transmitter Facilities Broadcast Coverage Area.
